Global Career Link is committed to protecting your privacy.  In accordance with privacy law, this policy outlines how we protect your personal information.

What personal information do we collect and why do we need it?

To enable us to fulfil our responsibilities as an international career management and recruitment service provider we need to collect personal information from you including, but not limited to, your curriculum vitae and contact details.  We use this information to assist you to obtain employment.  To do this we disclose your details to our business partners who are prospective employers, associate recruitment consultancies and/or payroll service providers.  (These organisations may be located in various countries, including and not restricted to New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.)  Your verbal or written consent will always be obtained before your details are released to any of the above persons.  We obtain your consent through our consent form and/or through discussion with you.

We and our business partners will also use this information to send you details of other products and services that may be of interest to you.  At any time, if you no longer wish to receive this additional material let us or our business partners know, and your details will be removed from the marketing database.

If we do not collect the personal information we may not be able to provide you with the services or assistance you have requested.

How do we collect your personal information?

We collect the information in person, in writing, by telephone, through our website and by other electronic communication channels.

Wherever practicable, we will ask you for the information directly.  We may need to contact others to collect information about you.  The other persons whom we may need to collect information from are your employers/referees/business associates (which you have given us as contacts), bankers and credit reference agencies.

Who will see or have access to your personal information?

Unless we are required to provide your personal information to others by law, court order or to investigate suspected fraud or other unlawful activity, your information will only be seen or used by persons working in or for Global Career Link and our business partners.  These people may be located in various countries, including and not restricted to New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.

Our information systems and files are kept secured from unauthorised access and our staff and contracted agents and service providers have been informed of the importance we place on protecting your privacy and their role in helping us to do so.

Can you check what personal information we hold about you?

You are entitled to have access to your personal information subject to some legal restrictions.  If your request is particularly complex or requires detailed searching or copying of our records, there may be a cost to you in order for us to provide this information.

If you believe there are errors in our records about you, please let us know and we will be happy to investigate and correct any inaccuracies.
