Schooling in AustraliaSchool is compulsory for all children aged between five and fifteen years. These ages may vary slightly in some states. There is also a preschool year. This is not compulsory, however is generally undertaken. You should enrol your children in a school as soon as possible. Note that public schooling is free in Australia, whereas private schools demand a fee. These fees vary from school to school. Boarding school, correspondence school and home base schooling are other options currently available.
