Public holidays and annual leave

There are roughly 10 days of public holidays in the year.  In general annual leave is set at 30 days in the year.  In practice most people work between 40 and 45 hours a week.

 20 March   Mouloud (Birth of the Prophet)
 30 July   Leilat al-Meiraj (Ascension of the Prophet)
 2 October   Eid al-Fitr (End of Ramadan)
 2 December    National Day
 9 December   Eid al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice)

2009
