Public holidays and annual leave

There are roughly 10 days of public holidays in the year. In general annual leave is set at 30 days in the year. In practice most people work between 40 and 45 hours a week.

 9 July   Leilat al-Meiraj (Ascension of the Prophet) 
 11 September   Eid al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) 
 17 November   Eid al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice) 
 2 December    National Day 
 7 December   Al-Hijra (Islamic New Year)  

2011
